HEYTEA Fruit Tea Menu

The HEYTEA fruit tea section runs to 17 drinks priced between $6.49 and $8.49, and it is where the lightest cups on the whole menu sit. Passion Fruit Blast at $6.49 carries just 70 calories. Crisp Grape Boom at $7.99 carries 100. Both are a long way under what a milk build costs you.

What separates this section from the fruit drinks at most American chains is that the fruit is pressed, not poured. Grape pulp, citrus segments and whole berries end up in the cup. That gives these drinks texture, and it is why a 100 calorie drink can still feel like something rather than flavoured water.

Seven of the 17 carry a cheese cloud cap and read as creamy. The other ten are tea and fruit alone. Full pricing for every one of them sits in the table below, and the full HEYTEA menu puts them next to the rest of the board.

Boom, Cloud and What the Names Actually Mean

Two words do most of the work in this section. A drink named Boom is built on crushed whole fruit over brewed tea, with the pulp left in. A drink named Cloud has the same base with a salted cream cheese cap floated on top. Crisp Grape Boom and Cloud Crisp Grape share a tea and a fruit, and differ only in that cap.

The cap costs calories rather than money. Cloud Crisp Grape is $7.99 and 250 calories against Crisp Grape Boom at $7.99 and 100. Same price, 150 calories apart. If the cap is what you want, it is free in money terms. If it is not, the plain Boom is the lighter order at no penalty.

Coconut Mango Boom and Coconut Mango Blue break the pattern. Both are built on coconut milk with no tea base at all, which makes them the only caffeine free drinks in this section and puts them closer to a smoothie than a tea. At 350 calories they are also the heaviest fruit drinks here, well above the 70 calorie floor.

Ordering a Fruit Tea Without Overpaying

The sugar level matters more in this section than anywhere else on the menu. Fruit teas carry the highest share of added syrup of any category, so dropping from 100 percent to 30 percent takes a real bite out of the calorie count. The fruit itself still carries sweetness, so a 30 percent Crisp Grape Boom does not read as flat.

On toppings, grapefruit pulp at $0.99 suits the citrus builds and adds only 50 calories. Coconut milk jelly at the same price works better here than in the milk teas. Brown sugar bobo at $1.99 is the most common add and the least suited: it is a milk tea topping and it buries a fruit tea.

If you want the cheese cap without paying $6.49 and up, order a plain Boom and add Light Cheese Cloud for $0.99. That gets you a lighter cap for less than the built in version, and it works on any drink in this section. The toppings page covers which pairings hold up.

HEYTEA Fruit Tea Questions

There are 17 fruit tea drinks on the US board, which makes it the largest section by a clear margin. Prices run from $6.49 for Cloud Mango up to $8.49 for Coconut Mango Blue.

Seven of them carry a cheese cloud cap, and the other ten are built on brewed tea and fruit alone.

Passion Fruit Blast at $6.49 and 70 calories is the lightest fruit tea, and the lightest drink with fruit anywhere on the menu.

Yumberry Boom follows at 90 calories, then Slim Boost Tea at 80. All three sit well under half the section average.

Boom marks a drink built on whole crushed fruit rather than juice or syrup. Crisp Grape Boom carries grape pulp, Grapefruit Boom carries citrus segments, Mulberry Boom carries whole berries.

It is why those cups have texture in them and why they sit at the lower end of the calorie range in spite of the fruit content.

Ten of the 17 fruit teas are dairy free as built: the plain Boom drinks, Kale Boost Tea, Slim Boost Tea, Coconut Mango Boom and Coconut Mango Blue. The last two use coconut milk rather than dairy.

The seven Cloud builds all contain dairy because the cheese cloud cap is a cream cheese foam. There is no dairy free version of that cap.

Yes, and that is by design. The pith goes in with the juice rather than being strained out, so the finish is sharply bitter in a way most American fruit drinks are not.

At $6.49 it is one of the cheaper fruit teas. Order it at 50 percent sugar if you want the bitterness balanced rather than removed.

Same grape and jasmine tea base. Cloud Crisp Grape adds a cheese cloud cap, which takes it from 100 calories to 250 at the same $7.99 price.

The plain Boom lets the grape read sharp and clean. The Cloud version turns it creamy. Neither is better, they are different drinks.

It has kale and green apple pressed into jasmine tea and lands at 110 calories, which is genuinely low for a $7.99 drink of this size.

Ordered at 100 percent sugar it still carries syrup. At 30 percent it is one of the lighter things you can buy in a bubble tea shop, though calling any of it a health drink overstates the case.
